Malaika Mihambo Eltern – German athlete Malaika Mihambo is a three-time Olympic, two-time world, and European champion in the long jump. Mihadé competed at the 2011 World Youth Championships, followed by a fourth-place finish at the 2012 World Junior Championships, and finally a seventh-place finish at the 2013 World Championships.

At the 2013 European Junior Championships, she placed first, and at the 2014 European Championships, she placed fourth. She won her first senior major event, setting the new championship record in the process, as she jumped 6.90 metres at the 2014 European Team Championships.

At the European U23 Championships in 2015, she took home the gold medal and was sixth at the World Championships. She nearly missed out on a medal at the 2016 Olympic games, finishing fourth, but at the 2016 European Athletics Championships, she came away with the bronze. She was 5th at the 2018 World Indoor Championships and the following month, she won the European title.

Mihambo became the global champion in 2019 as a result of winning the IAAF Diamond League. Three centimetres beat Brittney Reese and Ese Brume by a small margin to win the gold medal at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo in 2021.

The best she has ever jumped in the long jump is 7.30 metres, which she set during the World Athletics Championships in Doha in October 2019. She is a visual representation of the LG Kurpfalz club.
